I be using my Friodur Inox for my first pass today. Im limiting myself to one pass and clean up with a DE until I get a dozen or so shaves under my belt. My confidence is improving each time I use it.

That's a great way to start out, just keep at it and it will become second nature

Things are getting better each time I use the straight. I made almost an entire first pass without incident until getting a little confused with angle under my bottom lip and kinda stuck the blade into my face (soul patch area). I was kinda shaken and decided to stop. Cleaned up with a DE for a near BBS.

Fritz Bracht Tennis razor 13/16 - newly aquired and needs a little polishing but all in all a very nice piece and not easy to find. It too three attempts to get this one shave ready but now it has a killer edge. I was ready to send it to Glen Mercurio but it fianlly popped for me
Caties La gardenia - one of the best ever soaps, lot's of easy lather with a bunch of glide and slickness. The scent is awesome too
    FS 28 mm finest badger

I love the simplicity of beauty of this razor...you don't always need gold wash and decorative scales to be beautiful!

How quiet is the shave with that wedge?

It is very quiet compared to the Red Imp full hollow I was using last month. Stropping is also much quieter. You can hear the linen and the leather, but the blade isn't singing.

Does it shave through your heaviest beard growth very easy without skipping a beat?
