What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Early morning ride on the vintage Caddy….

 

Last night's shave. I have named this razor Bertha. Bertha takes good care of me.

6/8" Invicta "bellied" cut throat for a single pass on 2 days growth and a delightful DFS. There was no real sensation of the whiskers being mowed down, basically they were just wiped away.

Nice soap I made the other day beaten to a very good lather in my scuttle and applied with a blond Vie Long horse hair brush.

Just under 24 hours to go.

Great shave this morning. I'm done with Green Mountain for awhile and will play around with some other soaps. Have a good one.

I also picked up some maple soap from a local maker here in okc, that oddly en ough, doesn't sell his soap to everyone, just locals that stop by!

franks shaving synthetic/homemade brush with big Omega S knot

I had to shovel snow before my shave so things were kind of rushed this morning. Decent shave but I didn't really have time to enjoy it. The yellow and black handle is junk but at least I got to try out the big S knot.

I noticed that the SR makes a different sound on the strop with a newly honed edge. Vs an edge in need of a good honing. Honed 10z on each. 1k, 3k, 8k and 12k stones. Took off 3 days growth with ease
