What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Ahh…another one snagged on the Panta line!
I've been debating these brushes as well. The difficulty I have isn't in the style of handle, but WHAT sort of motif do I choose?

 

I really like the crazy, stylized Picasso-esque flavor of his stuff. Kind of a cross between country cottage and arts and crafts day at the asylum. I love it.

Cattarangus model B52T I worked on today. Wonder how long since he's been used? Great shave.

 

An unusual shave for me tonight. Had a wild hair to use my Feather DX. Decided as long as I was straying from the beaten path, I'd face lather as well. Sum total of times I've face-lathered in my life = approximately one . Had a lovely shave in spite of departing from my old standbys.

Lol...this one is on loan. I liked it so much that I need to find one for my own collection.

 

Jeez I hope he starts making straights again. That is a gorgeous razor. Too many custom makers today fail to understand the concept of "understated elegance". MW owns it. I don't think I've seen one of his straights that was less than pure class.

homemade / Shavemac knot
Nice shave this morning. I just couldn't leave well enough alone and relofted my shavemac finest silver tip and broke the original handle I had with this knot. So I went to the spare parts box and came up with this. There could be one more tweak in it's future but I got what I wanted with the adjustment so we'll see. I've been having alot of problems with my knee
(pain) and I'm still 6 weeks away from surgery. I'm unable to do just about everything I enjoy but shaving so it could be worse. Have a good one.

 

Cheers Mike, Michael's work is pure class and you've have always had a good eye the fit and finish is superb the grinding faultless plus the steel and temper is spot on a pleasure to hone with one layer of tape, and the most important factor although a big razor it's a lovely usable tool feels really comfortable stropping as well.
