I had my 3rd Shave with My Eicker Solingen 7/16 after a 1st Attempt at Honing an SR..I took it back again to 3 Micron + 1 Micron Lapping Film for a 2nd Time..This Time I ensured I used Proper X Strokes..That was My Error as I am used to Honing Hollow Ground SE Blades..Lesson learned..

I am Over the Moon with the Results..This Wee Baby Blade was very audible today, Very Sharp & Smooth..I have a Barb Wire Growth & this Wee Blade Ploughed through it with Ease..One WTG & One ATG Pass..Dolphin Smooth..

After watching some more videos on honing, I gave it one more try on my Charles Adam Faultless razor last night. I used it this morning and got my best SR shave yet!

Now that was not due to the honing, but I know that it helped. My great shave this morning was a result of reading all of the advice and suggestions you guys post on this forum to the newbies here. I watched my angles, stretched my skin, shaved the lather, make the lather a bit wetter than DE shaving and I took my time. 20 minutes and 2 1/2 passes later, BBS in some spots and DFS everywhere else. No cuts and no irritation. It was a very enjoyable shave!
