I really like the scales on that razor. Very nice.

thanks it shaves nice.it was supposed to be shave ready when i got it, but it was not. sharp only from the middel to the point.it was a bit difficult to hone but got it at last.

Thanks it's a first generation pre 1950s absolute mint no hone ware celluloid scales and the lyra is a metal inlay, shaves like a laser not a razor you hardly feel the razor cutting it's so smooth.

 

Been searching online for one, but they are wery pricy.and if i understand right it's the razors with jose's name printed on the tang that is the ones to get.

Yes not just printed on the tang vertical 14 plus the lettering must also be curved and there must be no markings on the opposite side of the tang show no country of origin this way you know you have a pre 1950s model the Especial was the forrunner and the original EPBD, I have another NOS 14 Doble Temple with the JMP lettering inside the goldwash this is also a pre 1950s model with original box and all paper work and gaurantee, PS I doubt very much if you could ever find another NOS Doble Temple pre 1950s with everything complete including the paper work.
