I can't take all the honors but I asked for the Barbers notch a 8/8 a half hollow grind with a slightly longer tail and a slight smiling blade so I definitely influenced the overall design of the razor.

 

Today I used my new to me Temperite by Case 5/8 wedge. I honed it up last night and got a DFS this morning. Like I've heard before about wedges, they're silent shavers. I really like the feel of this razor... the grip, the weight, nice cutting edge, etc... I can't wait to use it again!

I found the spike a little spikier today. No blood, but it poked me a couple times.

 

What kind of knot is in that brush. Looks like it has gel tips or something similar.

 

It is the Frank Shaving silvertip I recently baught from ebay.
If it looks funny,it was wet in the photo.

I had a Super Close BBS Shave this Morning with My Atlas 7/8th..The Atlas is the Heaviest Blade that I Have..Its a 1/4 Hollow I think & it has an Edge like a Laser..I Find these Hard Swedish Steel Blades Less Forgiving than Solingen or Sheffield Steel SRs but with a Lighter then Light Touch Offer a Spectacularly Close Shave with Minimal Passes..I Love this Razor..

Great shave this morning. The Genco Gold Star is an absolute charm to use. Enjoy the weekend!

 

Most everyone here might recall that I jumped into SR shaving back at the end of January of this year. Some shaves have been good and others on the bloody side. However, it's fair to say that most every shave is better than the last.

Well, almost 100 shaves later and I think I've finally gotten the shave I've been looking for!

I broke out the Kiebitz this morning and 2 passes later I ended up with a BBS on half my face and DFS everywhere else! I think I'm finally getting the hang of XTG and ATG.

Anyway, paired up with Stirling glacial lemon chill, Stirling synthetic brush and some Aqua Velva musk and I'm ready to face another day!

 

Congratulations on the shave. It is fun to have each shave get better, isn't it?
