Shave 16. Almost as good at shave 10. Great end result, good reduction throughout - barely any blood... Every so often I found that sweet spot marked by a relaxed yet confident smooth stroke and the lightest of pressure.

Today I used my
Clauss 5/8 full hollow spike, the one with aluminum scales and a veeerrry sharp spike.
Bugs the snot outa me that it has 2002 on the tail. I have searched for a meaning, no joy.

 

Newly honed and prepped today, with some Welsh stones that arrived today. Very good shave. No cuts or weepers.

I am pretty sure that is the year the warranty for the razor expired. I would not worry too much as it looks in fantastic shape.

 

How are you liking the stones?

 

I've just rehoned two Japanese silver steel razors, and I will have to say, they brought these to a sharpness I wasn't able to get before, quickly. Big, thick, smooth. I like them a lot. I think the More I practice with them, solely, the better the results will be.

I had a Cracking Shave this Morning with My Otto Busch 6/8th..This is Quite a Heavy Blade for a Carbon Steel Full Hollow Grind..Its a Hunk of a Blade..The Otto Busch is a Very Classy SR & its a Top Class Shaver..It has a Killer Edge & Smooth as Butter..The Scales are Quite Unusual in that they are Pointed at the End..Its Got a Kinda Sinister Look about it & the German V 2 Rocket Always Springs to Mind..

I used my AW Wadsworth "Boss" this morning. Paired up with Stirling glacial lemon chill, a Semogue boar and store brand menthol aftershave and I'm ready to face another hot day here in New Jersey!
