Shave 17. Last week I won a nicely restored 6/8 Wade & Butcher. It came to the house today and I had a nice 3 day beard to offer it. I was impressed. Smooth, easy to work with, no blood (a treat) and good reduction. The end result was up there with my best straight shaves to date. I really like it. :happy036:

first shave with my bengall 11/16
honed on shapton pro 1,5-5-8k. naniwa 12k and finished on a black ark.
think the blade has a slight warp resulting in a uneven bevel. but it took a very good edge.
has two more bengals in the mail:) hope these are fine.

Wade&Butcher. It's been close to a couple months since I used a straight. Just like riding a bike. A couple rough spots but overall a DFS!

Shave 18. This razor should look familiar. It's a stunner. :)

It was one of three I got in the mail today. It's the first wedge I've ever used and I have some learning to do. After four passes I got a good result but I'm guessing the wedge requires some subtle changes in technique that I have't figured out yet. Despite needing four passes to get a good result there was minimal feedback from the Alum. I was expecting more given the repeated strokes. Very smooth but I haven't unlocked the secret to efficient stubble reduction. :signs002:

Beautiful work. I used a wedge also today, although only two passes. I also noticed, even though I was fairly smooth, I had a shadow by 1100.

I selected a fine reliable razor today, that provided a very smooth, and comfortable, close shave.

    Razor- J.R.Torrey 41
    Soap- Stirling Spicy
Brush- Razorock Plissoft Synthetic, Very big soft, with an abundance of backbone .
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Deep Woods
Shaving Bowl- My own creation, with raised dots and lines.
