gssixgun At this point in time...

    Supporting Vendor
"Last Day of Summer" - SOTD

Razor - Harner Damascus was made specifically for me, and then scaled by me

Strop - SRD Buffalo So freaking smooth on the draw it is scary

Brush - Another custom turned from the same Abalone acrylic as the razor scales 26mm Premium overstuffed TGN Knot

Shave Cream - Castle Forbes Lime it is after all the standard that all other creams are judged against

After Shave - Royall Lime :p

Started the coffee in the actual Percolator, and then went up to shower & shave, the temp outside was reading a chilly 37°
Hot Hot water in the sink and in the Georgetown Scuttle soaking the brush and leaving the Dollop of CF in the bottom of the scuttle with a few drips of water to warm while I showered..
Worked up a quick lather in the scuttle made easy with the oversize brush handle:)
Lathered up, applying a few hot washclothes over the lather.
Re-lathered.. leaving this lather on to set up and raise the hairs of the beard as I strop in the razor
So smooth 20 laps on the webbing zippity zip, flip the strop and 40 laps on the Buffalo

Dip the razor in the hot water to warm the edge and do the first stroke
    Wow
Finish the first pass, no need for a second but I do a touch up pass because the lather smells so good and the scent is fantastic..
Warm Water Rinse, Clean the brush and razor

Cold Cold Cold Well water rinse OMG that is a wake up call and tightens the skin

A healthy splash of the Royall and the last day of summer is here

Thanks for reading "Shave on Gents"

Shave 22. Nice shave, really good results. Experimenting with different strokes and approaches to the difficult spots and making careful headway. :)

It's good to see another French razor I didn't know about. The French did it right.

Thiers-Issard's Carbonsong steel is something special, I think. It has a different look, feel and heft. The older French razors have excellent steel and build as well. Mine have taken more time to hone and develop the edge, but are well worth it with long-lasting sharpness and smoothness.

I've been looking for a good Thiers-Issard, but they always seem to escape my grasp. I drool every time I see one of you guys post a picture of one.

For tonight's shave, it's back to the Japanese razors. This time its a well loved Frameback, unrestored. I liked the look.
I had a wonderful two pass shave, with minor touch ups, leaving me smoooth.

Razor- Vintage Japanese Frameback. "Bostom 123" Chemical Steel
    Soap- Stirling Ozark Trail
    Brush- Zenith Boar w/Aluminium handle
    Aftershave- Yardley Gold.
