Last two shaves, Kinfolks Blue Steel Special and Burrell Cutlery Top Flight, both honed myself. Not all the way there yet, but getting closer.

For tonight's shave, I did a nice three pass shave, with minor touch ups around the jaw. Smooth. Great Razor.

This is from the batch he made two years ago for Veterans Day. Great performance, and a nice scent.

I have Naniwia 1, 3, and 5k. Last two razors I have done on my set of three Welsh Slates, using slurry. I'm not getting great edges every time I hone, but I am getting them more often.

    One Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
Henckels Friodur Solingen Full Hollow 7/8th
    Kent Pure Pure Badger
    Valobra Tallow Soap
    Humphreys Witch Hazel

A Wicked One Pass Shave this Morning with My Friodur 7/8th..One Scythe Like WTG on the Cheeks & One ATG Pass on the Neck & it Whacked around 4 Days of Whiskers..I was Going to Sell this SR at One Point Cause its Wicked & Scary Sharp..It Wasn't My Favoured SR..Now..I Wouldn't Sell this SR in a Month of Sundays..;)

In My Experince there is No Other SR that Feels Like a Friodur on the Face..These SRs are Not for the Faint Hearted..Just about Every Time I See a Shave Report with One the Owner Usually Mentions the Words "Scary Sharp"..They are Not Wrong..Its Took Me Sometime to Master this One Mean Mother of an SR..A Very Smooth & Comfortable Shave Today..:p

Folks that think an SR is More Forgiving than a Shavette Type Razor Havent Used a Friodur that's For Sure..:happy102:

    I Am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:angelic007:

The line up for today.. L-R... Gemco, Geneva Cutlery Co No.35, Wade&Butcher Diamond Edge. Why three you ask? Yesterday I tried my hand at honing for the first time and these were the three I did. Not saying I did great, but I will admit they turned out good. Before starting today, I took each one to the canvas and leather strop for 50 strokes on each. I did a couple passes with each, then used the Geneva for a cleanup pass. The only cut I got was from the Gemco due to the pointed toe and the W&B could be more efficient. They all were smooth with no pulling or tugging. Ill go ahead and take them back to the stones to try and get a sharper edge, but I believe they are mostly there with just a little more attention to detail. With that said, an over all good shave.

Great shave tonight. Its a razor that has been well loved(used) by the previous owner, and came with a wavy bevel. It was one of the first razors I had success honing, and gives a smooth smooth shave. Only one pass is needed, but two gives a BBS result. The blade is so sharp at the tip, that I can pop individual hairs under the nose, and get way up there.

Razors- W.H.Morley & Sons. Hamburg Ground
    Baby Gold Bug(Mustache Razor)
    Brush- Semogue 1800 Boar
    Soap- Stirling Spice
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy

The double ducks and Brummel (i used today) are from the same maker?
Is there an order to the double ducks surnames as far as quality goes?

They're fine razors and they do come up on ebay often with many far overpriced. Some have serious issues such as an over honed or severely pitted blade or warped scales.

Bresduck Inc, 1930-1942, This firm later became a part of Pearlduck Inc. in 1947.
Trademarks: Dubl Duck, Lifetime, Napoleon, Beau Brummel, Deutsch, Satinedge.
All fine makes and excellent razors. Lifetime ($$$) if you can find them, Otto Deustsch 'Hans' DublDuck Goldedge, Satinedge...
