Tonights shave was with a touched up Kamisori, on my Welsh Slate stones. The shave went very well, with a two pass shave, and no weepers or cuts. Very nimble little blades.

    Razor- Vintage Japanese Kamisori. "Tsurayuki"
    Brush- Vintage Ocean Boar
    Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy

I hit the wrong button. It took me to the first page of this thread. You featured a 8/8 perfection, by engles. Do you still have it? It looks like its name.

Yes, I do have that straight razor to this day. I have it's uglier brother as well, that's a hair smaller in width with some pitting. It is a wonderful blade.

20161011_164927_resized.jpg Touched up blue steel, Bee Bee and some BnM. Was yesterday's shave. Not enough growth for today's til later tonight. Was a close an comfy shave.

Absolutely awesome shave tonight. I was very doubtful with this one. I initially had to grind on part of the heel, and wasn't able to finish a perfect bevel, on 1/4 inch of the blade, at the heel. The rest sharpened up nicely. I got it in a lot of 4 razors $11, with two being unnamed Chinese, as this one was. It looked to be bound for the dumpster. It was a pain until the 1k bevel was set, then I worked on it with the Welsh Slate Stones. It took a nice edge, so I figured I would try a shave. I had backup, just in case.
The shave was absolutely smooth, and went perfectly. Two passes, with minimal touchup. I like it, a lot. Keeper.

Razor- Chinese. Unknown everything except that. The seller said Gold Dollar, but no stamps anywhere.
    Brush- Zenith Boar
    Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Aftershave- Avon Deep Woods.

Today I touched up my 3 straights. I did this coming to the conclusion that I have been stropping too hard. Causing me to round the edges. I went back to 5,3&1 micron. Then finished with CrOx for 10 laps. This time I used my plate strop and did 100 laps on each.

I started with my Eduard Pauls 5/8 1/2 hollow. I started on my left cheek. It was fairly smooth there but when I got down to the jaw it was slightly tuggy. I stoped there with that razor.

I then went with my Eagle 5/8 1/4 hollow on my right side. The cheeks were very smooth. When I got to the jaw, it remained smooth. I finished off the first pass with this razor

My second pass I used my Boker 5/8 1/2 hollow. This entire pass was very smooth. So I finished my cleanup with this razor.

Finished with a decent shave. Missed cleaning up on my chin good. As this is a tough place to use a straight. Much more practice is needed here.

The sharper the blade, the easier it is to touch up the chin area. I have the same problem at times.

    Today I used;
Gold Dollar #66 6/8 full hollow round end 20161012_081029_resized.jpg it did the job well. Its cheapness leaves me a bit empty (like it coulda used a realy cool old vintage razor). I'm tryin to shake this bias, other than being a bit loose hinged, it did really nicely.
So y'all dont laugh at my prom date, she cant help where shes from.

I'm not laughing. I have a thing for stray dogs, and unloved razors. They all need a chance in life. In this case, a good shave. The unnamed one I used yesterday cost less than $3, and gives a better shave than a Wade and Butcher I have.
