Tonight's shave was with a freshly honed, freshly acquired razor. Very nice 2 pass shave, without any issues. Very smooth results.

Thank you it's one of my favorites. It did have a long learning curve for me. I scratched my face more than once with the tip. No blood now

As I had a really nice shave last time. I decided to use this again. It did not disappoint. The WSP soap dod not let me down. Lovely scent. I finished it off with my home made Patchouli and Lavender AS.

Last two shaves, working through my Dubl Ducks. Both honed by Glen, and smooth and keen. First one was a Dubl Duck Satinwedge with new custom scales, an inlay transfer, and a blued tang and spine.

Next up is a pretty rare 7/8 Dubl Duck Goldedge. Larger and thicker than most Goldedges, this one is a later one with a different type of scales.

Really nice shave. This blade is not as sharp and smooth as my new Japanese or the Mastro Livi, but still good. Very nice sound - pretty loud blade. Two passes (WTG and XTG), zero irritation, DFS. This Razor's tip looks dangerous though. I did not cut myself this time, but I bet I will someday ;)

For various reasons, I haven't shaved since Thursday night. Epic shave, the Robinson brothers virtually obliterated the scruff on the first pass. As one that shaves daily, observing that much hair removed on the first pass was quite amazing! Second pass atg, with scything strokes on the neck and fools pass left me with nary a cut, weeper nor irritation. Face is smoother than Scottish dolphin skin:) Oh, and that Proraso soap is really underappreciated IMO.

I spent Saturday watching a few stripping videos. Applied some chromium paste and did a few rounds paste, linen, leather.

This morning is the first shave since April where I didn't use cold water.
I prepared the face wth hot water, shave secret and some AOS Sandlewood in a bowl lather. I did two passes with the grain on my cheeks and sides of the neck. Cheeks and neck smooth as glass. All other areas were done 3 pass with the R41.
I will go slow and likely only do weekend shave with a straight.
Very enjoyable shave and wherever the straight shaved it is by far the most comfortable and smoothest shave I have ever had.

Congrats on the Maiden Shave. It's always the first few that are the scariest.
If it were me, I don't think watching Stripping Videos would help me much, with my shaves. Might help set the post shave mood though. Then again it was your Maiden Shave.

Tonight's shave was with a freshly honed German Razor. It started out ok, but no as smooth as I would have liked. I did a fast 20 strokes on the linen, and 40 on the leather. That smoothed it up nicely. Two pass almost BBS shave, without any cuts, weepers, or nicks.

I decided to use my Commie blade tonight. Upon inspection, I noticed the edge was a bit wavy. This is a full 3/4" blade, but the spine is only .175. Way too thin for the proper angle. I used 2 pieces of tape to hone. It left a very nice edge but a rather large bevel.

Tonight I decided to add 2 more pieces. Going to my 3k and working up. I made a very nice bevel. A secondary if you will.

The shave went great and post inspection showed a very nice edge. This may have done the trick. Only 1 little spot of blood. I sheared off a little pimple. It is nice and flush to my face now.

What you don't watch STRIPPING videos before shaving? Or does it wreck your concentration like it does me.
