Today's razor has so many names its hard to identify.
Tuchmar Bartputzer model 1930. Called welt-ruf schultz marke.
It's a large 6/8 faux frameback with a great big round end. but for all it's names, this razor is very comfortable in the hand and on the face.
Wood, or wood look-like, three pins and badge, makes a good looking razor to me.
I read somewhere that it was ground differently. It was very easy to hold.

 

wow....432 pages of this! Still going strong, I'd say.

Todays shave was a double razor shave. I was trying out two razors I had honed today.

J.R.Torrey Razor Co- Very easy razor to use. Very forgiving. It's a somewhat quiet razor, and smooth. Excellent razor to use when you just want to relax and shave.


Japanese Scheonburg Frameback. Takes a scary edge. It feels like Swedish steel. This is a smooth and very sharp blade, that requires concentration, because of the point and the sharpness of the blade. I didn't cut myself, but I have with similar razors. Protruding sharp point and a smooth very sharp blade, double whammy. . I've cut myself with some like this, and didn't know it until I saw blood coming down the face. Japanese Frameback razors, are well worth the effort acquiring.

 

My "Suzy Q" delivered a good shave today but I really had to work for it with a lot of touch ups.
