    Aftershave: Chiseled Face Sherlock

    Wonderful three pass shave this morning. My first try of any Chiseled Face soap and I like it. I attempted to do the first pass with the Clauss but the razor was just jumping around on 3 days growth. I know it's sharp, fresh off a hone, so I'm chalking it up to technique. I did the first pass with the Supply and then 2 partial passes with the Clauss and a final pass with the Supply. Ended up with some irritation but zero blood so I'm counting this as a win.     What stone for the finish, method and what stropping procedure did you use?

    I didn't hone it, Kevin did. You are likely on to something about the prep though, I didn't do anything different over my usual prep. I may have to use a pre shave oil like when I first started wet shaving until I get the angle down.

    I've no doubt on the edge then, try hot towel when you have a few days worth. Works great and feels wonderful.

    Todays shave was with a French razor that had to mow through two days of growth. "Top Tier" shaving razor rotation. 2 pass shave, that went very smoothly, even though I was rushed, and didn't do a preshave soaking of the beard. Zero issues, just smooooth results. Not bad at all, for $6.93.
