This is my other birth year Russian razor - the last one was from the ZTV factory, this one is from the STIZ factory. Less sharp but more forgiving. This was the second shave on it since I touched it up on the white Arkie. Very little alum noise and no drama while shaving. Maybe not as close a shave as the ZTV but face-rubbing goodness for sure. :happy036:

Tonight's shave was with a "Second String Razor" that just got moved to "First String". I light touchup on the SB Arkie, and this did the trick. I had a fine 2 pass shave, that ended up BBS, with Zero issues. This razor has a little wear on it, but it still has another thousand shaves to go, at least. Excellent razor.

Razor- Japanese, I.M.Shinyichi Made. Best Hollow Ground Extra Tungsten Steel.
    Gen.Takahashi H.Diamond & Co.
"G 'TOWA' T" 1074. Real Japanese Hollow Ground. I Kid you not. All this was on the blade and Tang.

This old gentleman effortlessly removed a day and a half of stubble. This old wedge took an unbelievable edge.

Great shave with a newly honed Arky finish. Stropped on my new @Drygulch Latigo and Linen strop. Awesome draw on that bad boy.

Congratulations! It will just keep getting better. I am also a fan of AoS creams. I smelled the Old at the AoS store last time I was in the motherland, I also enjoy oud scents for the winter months.

I also have a black latigo and linen strop from @Drygulch, it is my favorite.

I think it will be mine also. I have one of his beginner American Bridle. That is awesome also. Unfortunately it has some learning scars. Fully functional still.

today i used my modern Boker King Cutter 5/8.i also have a vintage that i think is the best of the two.but this modern ain´t bad either.
the La Toja cream and aftershave performs very good.i do think the scent is old fashion but i like it.
brush is a synthetic from Maggard Razors. it´s a lather machine.

Razor: Portland Razor Co Chimera / Supply Provision Custom 3 dot head
    Blade: Chick
    Strop: Drygulch 45
Brush Handle: B-400 The Brush by Tom
    Knot: APShaveCo Tuxedo
    Soap: B&M Petrichor
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Alum
    Osage Rub
    Aftershave: B&M Petrichor

Fantastic shave this morning. I really enjoy the scent of the Petrichor, it reminds me of quality time in the garden as a kid with my parents and grandparents. It smells exactly like wet dirt but there's a nice spicy background that peaks through every so often. Once the AS dries down that spicy scent becomes more pronounced, I can't place it but really enjoy it. Another full pass shave with the Chimera this morning. I love this razor, it is wicked sharp and easily maneuverable plus the western grind makes it easy to find the edge. One pass with the Supply and one with the Chimera and I ended up with a DFS. Have a great day folks!

Another Sheffield steel razor. Today I timed myself; just for fun. 4 minutes for the first pass, 6 minutes for the second pass, 8 minutes was spent making lather, cleaning up and post shave. 18 total minutes for an unhurried DFS:8.

Red Imp 132. The last few dregs of my Strop Shoppe "Barber Shoppe" soap. A great little razor, but you gotta be careful not to nick yourself with the tip, especially when doing windshield wiper type strokes!
