Tonight's shave was with a freshly honed and restored razor. It took a laser sharp edge, and delivered a BBS 2 pass shave, without any issues. Excellent razor.

    Razor- John Brown.?? Barbers notch.

    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy

Tonight's shave was with a freshly honed, prettified, and acquired razor. I had a silky smooth 2 pass shave, with only one tiny nick, my fault. I was trying something new, under the chin. Excellently made razor, I would highly recommend.

    Razor- Columbia Cutlery. Worchester Mass.
    Brush- Semogue 1305 Boar.
    Soap- ARKO/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Good.

Nice. When did you get that? How does it shave?

I bought this more than a year ago, it shaves great and takes a very sharp edge. The finish makes it feel very secure in my hands and it is very maneuverable. They offer both symmetrical and asymmetrical grinds.

I haven't used it for the past month while I focused on some newer acquisitions and trying to learn to hone.

I've been having really nice shaves lately so I felt it was time to try out my Friedr Herder again. This razor has an excellent reputation but my maiden shave with it left me disappointed. I gave it a little touch up on some diamond felt and tonight's shave was much better. It think it still needs a little more refresh than what I gave it but I can see it becoming a razor I reach for without hesitation. :happy088:

My trusty Gold Dollar 100. Bought this one online from China years ago for less than $10.
And to my surprise... it came shave ready out of the box- well...almost...

I shaved with it and then improved the edge with some aggressive stropping with CRO2.
Not the smoothest of shaves out of the box, but workable.
I sent it out for a professional hone after just a few shaves.
That did the trick. It has been a really smooth shaver ever since.

It provided a really smooth 3 pass shave this morning. Very nice.

Tonight's shave started out horribly. I had three strokes with a freshly honed Pakistani Razor. It's edge gave out after a few strokes. It tugged and pulled after the second stroke.
I then pulled out a freshly honed Shumate Razor, and had a lovely two pass shave. Great results, and a DFS.

Razor- Pakistani Two Golden Man. Junk Junk Junk!!!

Back from a mini vacation; last nights shave was with my version of a rescaled Wade&Butcher. After 6 days of shaving with cold water, I decided to keep with the program. My shave wasn't quite as "tight" as I like, so tonight the razor made a visit to the barber hone before stropping and using. Stayed with the same cream and aftershave for comparison. Tonight's shave was improved, and nice and tight.

my phone died so no pictures today. I got this razor in a lot. It was pretty toasty but cleaned up. It took a wicked edge. I believe this may be my best shaver. It is my ugliest razor for sure. Go figure.
