I used the Wheat State Soap today and the random pick was 7 Mile.
Since this is my first time using Wheat State Soap I am going to assume the performance, cushion and glide is the same so I won't comment on how good that was. What I wanted to comment on was the scent. To me it is the perfect blend of notes described on the website. No one scent over powers the other and they compliment each other nicely. I will purchase this scent and use this combination again

Truthfully, a pretty poor shave this morning. It's on me, the loupe wasn't lying and I got about what I was expecting. I didn't have the best edge on my Torrey. I've been doing a fair amount of experimenting with stones. I'll be spending some quality time flattening the black arkie again this week end. Have a good one.

Decided to go with a known blade today.

Once again it was first pass only. I finished with my N-Type Injector. Only two small nicks, one on my neck and one on my chin. It was a nice three pass shave with next to no irritation. I think I am improving a little bit.

Today's shave was with an old Commie Razor. I took it for a spin on the Surgical Black Arkansas progression stone, and I believe this is the smoothest shaving razor I have, so far. I had a 2 pass shave that didn't even feel like the hairs were being touched, but the BBS finish told me differently. Zero issues.

    Darwin.
Not sure if this really counts.

I had my first shave with the Darwin. I gave it a Naniwa 1,3,8,&12K followed by an Translucent Arky finish. Nice shave, only wished I used my Tabac. The Williams does not provide enough slickness. I opened the gap up to try and get a straight kind of shave, Very nice razor, it is a keeper.

P.S. The blades are incredibly hard Sheffield steel. Should last a long time with the stropping mechanism

Weellll, technically it's a Single Edged Safety Razor. But, since its a Darwin Razor, its coolness is allowed in just about any thread.

I hear ya. I wanted it to work but just couldn't get a decent lather from it. It makes a great leather soap:) I use it to clean and condition old strops.

Up next in the rotation was my Engstrom frameback. It was another fine shave this morning. I always look forward to using this razor as it not only shaves well, but the company has an interesting history.

I wish I knew the history of my razor as there appears to be a logo of some sort, with 5 red dots and it's numbered as 451.

I think my 1941 Russian is my favorite razor. It certainly gave me a first class, top rate shave this morning. Just fabulous in every way. The new soap lathered really well, too. This is the first time I've tried Mike's Natural Soaps and I will be a repeat customer with the right scent. Wonderful morning all the way around. :happy036:
