Achieved a BBS with this beauty. Its a hefty razor too. I was surprised, but I actually liked the heft. Allowed me to rely on the razor more and my lack of skill less. [IMG]

Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, newly restored, and freshly honed razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, without touch-ups, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues. Very nice, sharp, and well built razor.

Razor- Union Cutlery Razor Co.. Union City GA. 13/16th inch, full hollow.
Brush- Omega 10098 Boar. First shave with it. Nice brush.
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

It is, I like heavy blades. With light blades I tend to use too much pressure, with this blade I just let gravity take over.

    Nivea Men Face Wash
    De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #2
    Frederick Reynolds 5/8 (first shave)
    CWR/Alum Bloc
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Lucky Tiger

This was my first shave with the Frederick Reynolds 5/8 Rattler. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 badger brush. I did the two passes with the Frederick Reynolds 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Col. Conk AMBER / VDH Luxury hybrid - shave soap
MARVY Shave Brush - my cheapie boar brush
    Aqua Velva Musk AS

Very smooth 2 pass BBS/DFS shave (BBS cheeks & neck- but no time for touchups under the chin.
I stropped the razor last night because I knew I would be in a hurry this morning.
I am very comfortable with this razor - no nicks, cuts, or razor burn. No styptic, just rinse, dry, AS splash and go!
    NICE.

It's Japanese Razor time again. I had a nice sharp and smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. No Nicks, Cuts, or Weepers. These Japanese razors are well built, and take on a very sharp edge.

Razor- Japanese "Polger Klupp 1200" German Steel
    Brush- Omega Boar 10098
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Osage Rub

Congratulations on SR shave number 2! How did it go? If it wasn't perfect, hang in there. It took me close to 30 shaves before I really knew what I was doing (slow learner) and 100 before it just came naturally.
