    Straight Razor shave: 27

Prep: Stirling Bergamot Lavender Pre-Shave Oil
    Shaving Soap: C&E Moroccan Myrrh
Brush: RazorRock Chubby #506 Handle Extra Silvertip Badger (27.5 mm x 51 mm)
Straight Razor: Gardener's Challenge 9/16" (1) WTG -XTG -WTG (cheeks and chin), WTG - WTG -WTG (neck)
Stropping: Tony Miller 3" Fast Bridle Leather "Plain Chocolate" (25x Leather)
DE Razor: Rockwell (#4) WTG - XTG (upper/lower lip)
Splash: Stirling Bergamot Lavender (+Menthol) + Sandalwood (+Menthol)
Balm: Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm

This is getting easier. I seem to like the maneuverability of the narrower blades.

No shave today, I've decided I'm not to shave until I can hone one of my razors competently enough that I can shave with it. I'm waiting on my Welsh Slate stones to arrive, but I do have a King 1K, Norton 4/8K and a very nice Swaty three line barbers hone. I'll use CrOx and strop heavily as a finish. Wish me luck tonight!

Get your 320 grit wet/dry paper ready, for the Welsh Slates. You will definitely need to lap one side first. Also a flat suface to do it on.

I read your thread about Welsh Slates, very informative. I have several 1/2 inch thick 4X8 pieces of plate glass which I used to flatten my King and Norton with 600 grit wet/Dry. I'll pick up some 320 asap. I have a feeling I may be tapping your experience once I receive them. Thanks as always.

Tonight's shave was with another "Oldie". I had a 2 pass shave that went smooth and comfortable. It left me Near BBS with zero issues. This one is in one of my "favorite razor" mug.

Razor- M.J.Higgins, Sheffield. "The Old English Razor".
    Brush- Omega 10098 Boar
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Vintage English Leather. A little strong for my liking.

I haven't shaved with this oldie for awhile. As always, it easily removed a couple days worth, leaving a bbs finish.

Maiden voyage with newly acquired Flic.
I have another Flic, which is a superb razor; both in looks and especially shave quality. I've been on the lookout for about a year for another. They rarely come up, especially meeting the requirements I'm looking for.
    1. I wanted something with very few issues i.e. No rust, pitting, excessive hone wear, etc.
    2. I wanted a full 5/8, preferably 6/8. This one is 11/16 , which is very suitable.
    3. Preferably with extras, such as jimps (check, upper and lower), engraving ( check, gold wash) three pins (check) and a box ( check).
    4. Of course of primary concern for a Dutchman like myself: a good price. I got a decent deal there too, $23 to my door:)
This polished up really nicely without much effort at all. Honing was a little different matter, This was a bugger. Not because of any blade problems per say; but the metal is hard. But boy with some effort, the edge on this thing is just FANTASTIC!! What a great smooth shaver and with a loud singing voice to boot. This one's going near the top of the pile;)
