Three passes and ended up with an adequate shave. I'm going to re-evaluate the edge. He may have to take a "time out" and have a counseling session with Mr. Norton :)

:thanks: He saw very little action, if any in his lifetime. I aim to fix that :)

Just got back from a few days in Denver. I used a Friodur, Spanish Leather and a synthetic for the trip. Here's this morning shave. A very nice one btw.

Thanks. I've only seen 2 or 3 for sale in the last 5 years or so. SRP had one a few months ago for a great price. They are excellent.

Flic. Both of my Flics are superb shavers. German craftsmanship at its finest. Always near bbs in two passes; the third being "just in case" pass.

    RAZOR - Gold Dollar 100
    BRUSH - Rubberset #153 - known elsewhere as Dad's Old Brush :)
SOAP - Williams Mug Shave Soap
MUG - Vintage Old Spice shave mug - known elsewhere as Dad's Old Shave Mug :D
PRE-SHAVE - Rite Aid label (Noxzema clone) face cream as pre-shave. Found this for $.99 at outlet store.
AFTER SHAVE - Aqua Velva Ice Blue
    Gold_Dollar_100_DadsBrush_OldSpiceMug_AquaVelva.jpg

Another very smooth 2 pass BBS shave, with some minor touch ups. It's now evening, and my face still feels like a baby's bottom.
Face prep (no shower today) was face wash with Dial anti-bacterial soap and hot water rinse.
I really appreciate how much face cream pre-shave improves the shave, and leaves my face very moist & smooth - no AS Balm needed.
This brush is a recent favorite of mine. I took the time to use a toothbrush and some toothpaste on the handle to clean off some of the old soap scum residue. Looks much better now, and continues to perform like a champ. This is the perfect size handle for me.
COLD CREAM pre-shave, WILLIAMS MUG soap, AQUA VELVA ICE BLUE aftershave splash. A perfectly refreshing combination!
    Dad would surely be proud.

William Greaves & Sons Sheaf Works factory opened in 1823; by 1850, majority of their works exported to USA. This razor, a thick hollow-ground blade compared to 20th century-made hollows, dates from approx 1850 to 1889. No tang stamp of 'England' or ' Made in England' which would indicate post-1890 production of the McKinley tariff.

awesome. thanks. couldn't figure out if this was after they sold the name or not. and i wasn't even sure if it was a regrind given that wedges dominated the period.
