Wonderful, smooth, close three pass routine with the Flic. The RR Monster brush is one extreme lather monster! Aptly named.:)

Tonight's shave was with a nice French razor. I had a very smooth, and comfortable 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. It could have been better, but I was distracted with soap issues. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/the-village-soapsmiths.57503/ . This caused a lot of aftershave burn. Excellent razor though.

Razor- Ro Delorme, Paris. "The Starter".
    Brush- B400 By Tom
Soap- The Village Soapsmith. Old Spice
    Aftershave- Florida Water

Henckels 72 1/2: I have been on a shavette focus of sorts this month, partly just because I was in search of a focus topic, partly because I have been on the road all month which mostly means shavettes for me anyway.

So I broke my little focus tonight because I was home, and I miss my razors. As I slowly stropped, preshave, the blade was darn near sucked down tight to the leather, and I knew it was just gonna be great.

    It was.

I picked this one up last week at an antiques fair. It just says Air Mail on the front and "Finest Silver Steel, Made in Germany" on the back. It honed up wonderfully and just gave me a nice BBS. I'm happy with this one[IMG]

Another round with the Koraat, after touching it up on a slate. I improved both the keenness and the smoothness. Great shave.

Tonight's shave was a total Face Freeze, celebrating the near end of the summer. I used a very nice Solingen razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a near BBS finish. Zero issues. I can say, that the Soap was almost eye watering, but when I splashed on the aftershave, with extra Menthol Crystals added, the tears flowed for approx 5 minutes. It was a funny sight.
    Excellent razor.

Razor- G.M.Mayer, "Blue Steel 101". New York. Made in Solingen Germany.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
Soap- Stirling's, Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic.
Aftershave- Fines Snakebite. With added menthol crystals, for an added kick, and Glycerin, to moisturize the face.

Cut Throat GENTS Razor. An inexpensive $30 or so blade you can get from Amazon. Originally bought for travel. Had a bit of an issue setting a good bevel, but got it done. Had to push the blade in a few spots for an even hone. Gives a close comfortable shave and if I lose or damage it in travel, no worries. But these days, I use it at home as much as I do when traveling.

    Aloha!

Interesting razors. I looked at their products, and all were between $15-$20. I also noticed, nowhere does anything give hint to where they were manufactured. Are there markings on your box or blade telling where??
