Today's shave was with a fantastic shaving Chinese razor. I has a super smooth 2 pass shave, with BBS results. Zero issues, and no complaints about this razor.

Very nice shave this morning. Have a good one.

 

It was a nice three pass shave with my Engstrom frame back. As @Spyder stated earlier this week, it shaves closer to a wedge than a hollow ground due to the stiffness of the blade. Either way, I find this to be an excellent razor.

 

One of my birth year Russians. The reduction after the first two passes didn’t seem like much but a wonderful result nonetheless.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #227 synthetic brush. I did one pass with the Wade & Butcher followed by clean up with the Gillette NEW LC razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It is funny replying to my own post, but I wanted to add some thoughts. I only use my straights on Saturday. This being OCtober, I have only been doing the first pass with the straight and then cleaning up with one of my open comb razors. Today, after the first pass with the straight, there wasn't much to touch up. It was a very fine shave. I am getting better and better each time. I haven't cut/nicked myself in a long time. Next week, I am going to use my Joseph Elliot wedge for the first time. I am looking forward to that.
