Jim, using a wedge is a whole new experience. They're silent shavers and very effective. Enjoy!

Today's shave was with a nice American made razor. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that gave me BDBS results. Excellent razor. This one is a solid well built razor.

Razor- Union Cutlery Razor Co. Union City GA.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
    Aftershave- Family Dollar "Spicy".

Been severely lazy and last shave was Thursday. So for several days of removal of the homeless look; the Flic was chosen. This always give the top shelf shave. Almost bbs after two passes. The third pass sealed the deal.

Today’s shave was courtesy of my Japanese Suzumasa AA. I refreshed it some months ago and it performed beautifully. A top notch shave that made short work of any resistance offered by my stubble. It plowed through them like they were hardly even there.

    AOS Lavender PSO
    Mike’s Natural Soaps Hungarian Lavender
    Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip Badger

Tonight's shave was with a very smooth Sheffield made razor. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero Issues.

Todays straight razor Sunday shave was brought to you by...

    Frederick Reynolds 6/8
30 DC Shave Brush is AP shave tux knot
    Stirling Pumpkin Spice Bath Soap
    Stirling Pumpkin Spice Shave Soap

Going to have to put a full bar and refill on my Christmas list as I only have samples but love the scent and I'm almost through the soap sample.. :-(

3 pass shave, no knicks, no cuts, no burn!!! Still can't figure out against the grain but had a good shave and didn't draw blood so I was happy.

Im still learning and Im sure my technique still needs help but I did stop mid shave to strop again. Felt as if it was starting to tug a tiny bit so I went to refresh it. Not sure if I'm not up to par the strop game or what. I know with DE and Cart I seem to go through them quicker than most, and I'm sure technique needs to improve but I figured better safe than sorry and made a quick detour to the strop which seemed to help.[IMG]

1st wedge (near wedge) straight razor shave ever... Recently cleaned up and honed English "Bengall". Very different feel from a Hollow Ground razor. Too early for me to have an opinion.

Wedges have a totally different feel. They provide very little audible feedback. But they are silent whisker killers .It took me a week or so to become comfortable with wedges .

This post had me run out the room to check my Bengall. I picked one up at a flea market but couldn't remember if it was a wedge or not (its not honed so I haven't shaved with it yet). Turns out it's a hollow ground and not a wedge :-(

Nice! All I have is a Translucent and I’m awaiting a surgical black. I’m sure I’ll go the same direction as you
