It is a joy to use. I was worried that such a large razor would be awkward but I find the weight and size make it easy to control, just let the razor do the work. The more I use smiling razors the more I like them.

It also takes a nice edge.

Today's shave was with a restored razor I use rarely. Happy Halloween!!!. I had a fantastically smooth and Very noisy 2 pass shave. This left me BDBS. This is one fantastic razor, that delivers a flawless shave. Well made and I like the look. Get one if the opportunity arises.

    Razor- Beau Brummel 35
    Brush- B400, By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Good.

The Arkie and my Germans sure do get along. I don't use this razor often and today's shave made me question why not. :sad027:

How many shaves did you get out of it before you decided to take it back to the stones? Have you tried 5-10 laps with Chromium Oxide yet??

I’ve done the pasted strop and barbers hone. I can get a close shave, just not that buttery smooth pass. I’m thinking about going back to the 4K and progress from there. For whatever reason; my US made razors tend to give me a little more trouble than my Japanese or Germans. :signs002:

6/8 SSA I had several days of growth. So I actually started with an English Wedge .But I felt the Wedge need a refresh. So plan B .Pulled out my 6/8 SSA .Swedish steel does not disappoint .Removed whiskers like a hot knife cutting butter .
