I figured given the price that it was a good mule to learn honing and restoration. Normally don't worry about removing all age but I'm curious how much it will take to fix. I'll include a before picture, as there was a LOT more rust on it. I am happy with what I got off just curious how much more I can remove without losing the etch.

That being said she's a pretty loud blade compared to my Frederick Reynolds 6/8.

Excellent choice of razor. I like those Imperial 20507 razors myself. I have the Army/Navy etch and I really enjoy that noisy shave!!!
    Enjoy.

The Flic High Class is definitely a perfect example of a fine Solingen produced shaver. Excellent fit, finish, grind and steel all working together to give a smooth comfortable bbs shave.
Going with the German theme, uber lather with Tabac soap/cream. All completed with Tabac balm and edc. Enjoy your Sunday, gentlemen:)

Tonight's shave was with a fine razor, from a Boston Co, made in Germany. I had a fine 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues, just a nice razor.

Razor- Dame Stoddard & Kendall, Boston. Made in Germany.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

Today's shave was with "The Old English Razor", at least that was what the scales say. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a BBS result. Not the prettiest old razor, but it sure does get the job done.

    Razor- M.J.Higgins. Sheffield.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
    Aftershave- Osage Rub

I usually don’t use a razor two shaves in a row. I did today as I wanted to gauge the impact a light refresh on my yellow-green Thuri has on a blade that is starting to fade. Turns out a few minutes on the stone really boosts the efficiency. Great shave. :happy036:

I went through a “phase” with buying W&Bs with cracks close to the heel. I also changed the profile of the toe to an ever so slight french point... no clue why, just thought it worked at the time. :) Also shortened the scales and added the TruStone turquoise wedge.

Here is it when I bought it:

Probably a better picture of profile now:

I've turned down many a chip and you are making me rethink it. Though the fact you found a chopper would help convince me too.

I would just try to shorten it and round the toe. Sadly money has been tight so if I dont think its a simple hone I just pass. With the exception of the blade I just picked up for 7 bucks.

    I'm sure I'll make a shorty eventually.
