I took my Charles Adam razor out for a whirl this morning. It was a nice two pass shave. This razor always holds a nice edge and seems to go forever between touch ups on the stones.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Arko Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 Badger brush. I did two passes with the Wade & Butcher 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

New arrivals and I’m very pleased. They are asymmetrical grinds, one left handed and one right. It was fun shaving with them. They came with a wonderful edge. One pass for DFS

 

I spent two weeks on vacation with my Schick C3 - a great razor to travel with - both for it's fantastic shaves and since it can be loaded without an injector key. I learned that I can get as good a shave with 2 passes (skipping the WTG pass) as I can with 3. Now that I'm back I'll be using that with my straights. Tried it yesterday with my Filly and it worked just fine. Coming back to the straight after a long break was very enjoyable.

Griffon 5/8. The edge on this is smoother than sharp. If that makes any sense.....
