    Tom:
The Flic brand was exported by Max Voos, the vo in Dovo. I know that Tennis was another brand. IMO these Straights equal vintage Dovos and other “higher end” Solingen blades. So it appears you “snuck” one from under my nose:). I keep my eyes peeled for more, but I’m not as diligent since I have a couple;). I’ve also been looking for a Tennis, but they tend to fetch a higher price for some reason.
I’ll be patiently waiting for your restoration and assessment.

Tonight's shave was with a Japanese Razor. I had a 2 pass shave, that left me with a near BBS shave. Very nice steel.

Razor- "Feon 172", Pure Steel Made. Takehana Razors Co. Serial #80707.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood

Very cool info - thanks Keith. With this one, I may have some serious work to do, or maybe just scales.

We’ll see how much of the etch I can save. Love the look.

Shave #8 in the books. Going to do a couple more with the Allen and then branch out to the rest of my inherited collection now that I know I am capable. Probably unusual to learn to straight shave while already owning a collection but it certainly is motivation to keep learning.

Thanks. The patterned scales with the inlay and the design of the spine was what initially caught my eye. Well, also the fact it cost me $20 was another draw. Sometimes you just get lucky at flea markets.

Another shave with the Lund. I’m getting more familiar with my yellow/green Thuri and I wanted to see how a few more minutes on the stone would impact it. Pretty much in the sweet spot now - another half notch sharper and smooth. :happy036:

This looked so similar to a Filly. When I saw this one I thought JMP might have made that for Petruccelli. I think they are still in business as a barber supply company. Very nice!

Those are some sharp looking scales.

The 'vampire' razor, watch out for the point and heel. Mine takes a wickedly sharp edge too. Enjoy!

Congratulations on getting this far. :happy088: It took 10 shaves for me before I had one that felt relatively “natural.”

FWIW I’d recommend sticking with the same blade for at least 30 shaves to help accelerate your learning. Adding more variables in the early stages makes it that much harder to learn your technique and develop your basic skills. Just my $.02 :chores016:
