It was time to break out my Morley and Sons “Damascus” razor. It was a nice shave with this blade.

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Old Spice Original
    TOST LE Synthetic
    Dbl Duck 5/8
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva Musk

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the TOST LE Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Dbl Duck 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Superior lavender shave this morning using this vintage Sheffield 'Horn of Plenty' 7/8" wedge from William Greaves & Sons (ca 1840s); Soap Commander 'Devotion' (amber & lavender) and Fine's 'Lavender Pour Hommes' aftershave splash. Have a blessed weekend, gents!

5/8 Ralph Aust Had a lovely shave with this razor.Reminds me of my Boker 101 in how she handles.Love the balance of this straight. I am thinking of picking up a 6/8 version of this razor.

I’ve heard good things about the Austs. Pretty affordable by the looks of it to boot.

    A challenging treat...
    Razor: Brian Brown Custom Kamisori
    Brush: Rudy Vey/Shavemac 28mm 2-band Silvertip
    Soap: CRSW Jardin D’Orange
    A/S: Fine L’Orange Noir

I don’t use an Asymmetrical Kamisori often, but when I do I try to use it in the traditional way of keeping the Omote side (less hollowed, non-stamped) against my face. I end up doing some weird contortions and shaving blind in areas, but I find the challenge very enjoyable and satisfying.

Interesting that in this case the stamp is in the Omote side and not the traditional Ura side.
    Enjoy your shave!
    Tom
