Today's shave was with a Kamasori with an Asymmetrical grind. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. Zero issues. This is one of my rescue razors I named the "Rusty Crusty Kamasori". This is a heavy and thick razor, that feels like a wedge, and gives a near silent shave.

Razor- Suzuki No1. Japanese Asymmetrical Grind.
    Brush- JR#262. Birdseye Maple/Ebony, Silver-tip Badger.
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

Filarmonica #13 Doble Temple. This odd (rare??) razor has the country location on the front field. Nothing stamped on the rear tang. A early Generation??. Either way, a great piece of steel

Had to think about what section to actually post this one in :D
    Workshop, HOTD, SOTD

So I get in this razor, Basically "Here Glen it is yours, Keep It, Pitch It, Fix it, I just never want to see it again, dropping it makes me sick"

    Mint Dorko #14
    Big ole CRAAaaaaaaack :(

So I do some thinking, if I just grind it down I am looking at a 6/8+ with that big #14 staring at me saying "I used to be an 8/8"
I can do a heel cut away but Meh
So I start drawing on it with my sharpie... I want the 8/8 size, it doesn't have a Double Grind with a Stabilizer, Hmmmmmm Japanese Slant with a bit more smile :)

Head out to the shop fire up the 2x72 and hope I don't hear the "Tink" of death

    Get the slant in

Work it out into a smooth Smile on the hones :)

Testing a questionable Dark Blue Escher (left) against my Blue Green Escher (right) that yielded a smooth edge

Tonight's shave was with an American Made wedge razor. I had a silent and smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Fine and well made little razors.

    Razor- Union Cutlery. "Spike"
    Brush- JR #262
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Florida Water

I did something wrong on the last post, basically I hear great things by the way they shave. I am looking for a 14p.

You are right, they are cool. The best part about it is that it was ragged out looking, when I got it, and its now used as a regular shaver again.

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Jayaruh #206
    Joseph Elliot Wedge
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Joseph Elliot Wedge Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
