What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

It shaved ok, if not dolphin smooth. There is a little corrosion, but not really bad, and it's a user, not a museum piece. Kind of a mark of personality.

 

5/8 Joseph Rodgers Sheffield Blade Had a great Shave with this well used Rodger blade .I finished this blade on an Apache Strata Hone .Shave was smooth as silk .

 

In any case, it's a looker.

Today's shave was on a two day old growth of hair. I had a 2 pass shave, that went silky smooth, and left me near BBS, without touch-ups. Zero issues, and a great performer.

Yes sir. I have also added a 220grit/1k Norton. This stone makes fast work of setting a bevel that has been trashed, by year's of neglect or abuse.

Today was a Harner shave day...stropped on my Walkin' Horse then used Barrister and Mann Cologne Russe applied with my Simpsons 90th Anniversary Astor and finished with Thayers Cucumber and Art of Shaving Ocean Kelp balm all while listening to some Miles Davis

 

Tonight's shave was with a Smiling Wade & Butcher. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. No issues, just smoothness, all around. The Silvertip Badger knot, by Whipped Dog has been breaking in nicely. Its no longer smelly, and is getting softer. It's a very nice brush, to face lather. Enough backbone, and soft. It also holds a lot of lather, yet easily releases it.

Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
