What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Today's shave was with a Japanese Straight. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Ine little nick, because I was in a hurry. Oh well, it woke me up at least.

Razor- Japanese. YAMA Super Extra.
Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple, w/Silvertip Badger.
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice

6/8 Bartman High Class Part of a seven day set .Just received it on Sat.I shaved with Mondays blade .Sunday has a cracked scale that I need to replace.I just gave the blade a quick polish with Mass.Then a quick trip to my yellow lake to refresh the edge after 70 years of sleeping in its box.The yellow lake did the trick .Prefect almost effortless shave in 2 1/2 passes.Dolphin smooth and refreshed.

 

Nice shave today with my Suzy Q. The Rose Petal Thayers was a nice change of pace as well. Feeling very smooth and smelling good.

Tonight's shave was with a Sheffield made Wedge. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS, without a touch-up. Big silent and rigid blade.

You're right. In the last many years I've seen the total of two show up in forums or ebay. I got this one from a local fellow straight razor person.

 

Today's shave was with a German made razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, with minor touch-ups. Excellent razor, that always shaves well.
