That does check all the “coolness” boxes. That is pure gorgeousness!

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #274 boar brush. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Granddad's AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I used my Case “Temperite” this morning and had a fine two pass shave.

Nice shave this morning. The soap is very good but doesn't have a lot of scent, excellent skin care, very nice lather. Have a good one.

Shave #41 on the Cape, still good but at 9 shaves since the last canvas use, I post-shave stropped with 20 canvas, 35 suede, and 70 cordovan. Soap was ABC, the brush a 3-band HMW, and AS was Harris Pink.

I love it! I am finding that I prefer the 7/8 and 8/8 blades more, I am going to have to put this monster on my wish list.

She isn’t the prettiest, but man does she shave! I actually used it yesterday, as I haven’t shaved in a few days. This razor has a very heavy blade, and mows though a few days growth with ease.

Bad karma day for my lovely Geo Wostenholm Pipe razor. Normally this is a top performer but today it needed more attention and touch ups than usual. But, worst of all, a scale fractured right across the pin at the tang when drying it. It’ll be sidelined until I can get it rescaled. :(

It's amazing how brittle some old scales are - I've literally had them fall apart in my hands.

Sorry to hear, that sinks! Rescale it, and hone it. It will be as good as new. I also have a Wostenholm, it’s a great razor, actually it’s one of my favorites. It also needs rescaling, but I still use it. I really need to fix it up.

IMG_1071.jpg A rosy spring Sunday here! Shell 92 13/16 Silver Steel with the 'koi pond' scales, LpL Rose de Pushkar shea butter formula lathered with a 3-band HMW. Finishing up is Harris Pink AS, and Rose de Pushkar AS afterwards, which is really more an EdT strength product.

    Cheers, Steve

My "Pipe Razor" did the same thing, earlier in the week. Brittle 100+ year old scales. But, mine were made of horn.
