Today’s shave. I used my 1955 Russian straight.
    Boar brush
    Masters bay run AS
Look in the general shaving area, for more info about the soap I used. I did a little experiment this morning with Zote laundry soap. [IMG]

Tonight's shave was with a Japanese Barbers Razor. I had a fine 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues, and a very nice shaving razor.

Razor- Japanese "YAMA 43" Super Extra.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

Just arrived home to this monster waiting on me.
M Martinez 8/8 Sheffield Stell Mammoth Scales
    Poraso Green
    Simpson's Chubby 2 Best
    Taconic Pre and Aftershave Baume

Razor is better than advertised, great for shaving my bald head and run through a 3 day growth like my John Deere Garden Tractor did after 2 weeks of not mowing my yard in the mountains. I will be ordering another one soon.

Thank you gentlemen, I was surprised how easy the blade navigated the chin and lip areas. First rate steel.

Tonight's shave was with one I always love to acquire. I had a perfect 2 pass shave, with BDBS results. Only one small nick, due to a raised bump, that is no more.

Razor- Wade & Butcher "Bow Razor".
Brush- JR#262, Birdseye Maple/Ebony, with WD Silvertip Badger. Excellent brush.
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
Aftershave- Avon Spicy. Viking Horn Decanter.

I came across the “Barbasol brotherhood” section earlier today. And remembered I had a can of this stuff in the closet.
I haven’t used anything from a can in years. used to use it occasionally when I shaved with my SE razors.
I used it tonight, and it was a nice change.
If anyone is wondering why the top of the can is missing it’s because I have a hot lather machine that the can fits into. Makes the lather nice and warm.

Tried out the newly acquired Wacker Chevelier, stirling boar brush and their iced pineapple soap. Finished off with Stirling Blu AS.

First thing that strikes me about this SR is the balance, very well balanced in the hand which seems to make it lighter feeling than it should. Extreme French tip making it highly maneuverable. What a great blade! I hope I can elevate my technique to match its level of quality. Something to strive for!

    Cheers All!

Got my Böker shaving well for the first time. No luck with lapping film. I just don't get it. Instead a combination of synthetics and 2 cycles of Dovo strop pastes. Now it has a steller edge. Great shave. [IMG]
