Thanks Brian! I am glad to get a chance to see the bluing up close... very cool contrast for a blade.
"Manganese" just makes smile - I go to Bill Murray in Caddyshack... chinch bugs, managanese... you know all the things to study to take you from Asst to Head Greenskeeper :)

I never would have thought about using a clam shell, as a shaving bowl. That’s an awesome idea, simple, functional and beautiful. I might just use that idea for myself b
That’s a great picture, with the white shell, and white knot, it makes the black scales and blade really stand out.

I had always hated samples - just never felt the same as loading from a full size tub. Using this shell has changed that for me... the thing really works and has great surface area and even some ridges to make lather.
My wife’s face was priceless though...
walking in the beach, pick up a shell, and she knew EXACTLY what I was thinking  She just shook her head and laughed.

Today's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Not a fan of the soap. The wife bought a couple for me, in Hot Springs Arkansas. The soap burns slightly, and the scent is overpowering. It is very slick and lathers very well though.

    Razor- Sterling Razor Works.
Brush- RazoRock with a Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger knot. It is wonderful for face lathering.
    Soap- BathHouse "Steam".
    Aftershave- Avon Spicy

Just keep bidding until you get lucky. This was ‘little’ razor at just 6/8 so it went for a lot less than his big razors. The ‘factory’ edge was fantastic. I own 2 and I’m very happy with the craftsmanship.
