What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

This is one of my favorites. Wonderful shave today.

 

This ERN did a fine job today. I put 10 laps on some green paste on felt and the two days of stubble were no match.

Starter Lux 777. I was on vacation last week, and mostly used a shavette. It’s nice to come home, and use a straight again. 3 pass BBS.

Ern 3044 worked spine partially dressed in mop. Fresh from honing and stropping it provided a good two pass shave with minimal touch ups. This one is quickly becoming one of the favorites.

Had a near perfect shave with this Swedish doll this morning .Was left smooth as a baby Dolphin .

 

I really like the scales, that is one cool looking razor.

Some fine examples on here with some beautiful designs on the blade face... not this one .
But it is a full 7/8 and feels nice and substantial in hand.

Heart of Columbia Japanese Frameback
Had a fabulous shave with this old Japanese Frameback .The edge was smooth a silk and very keen.This Razor handled extremely well. Closest shave of the week so far.

 

Castle Forbes Lavender Shaving Cream is one of my favorites and it’s almost gone. So, to make it more special I paired it with my favorite brush and one of my favorite razors. Like heaven. The face lathering was pure pleasure and the W&B needed just the lightest of touches to whisk away the whiskers.

Thanks Keith. I started to dye the mop replacement pieces for it yesterday. They are slowly taking the dye in. But that’s going to be another thread.

 

TI I’ve heard mixed reviews about TI, but this one is top shelf in every way.

First up was a new to me and honed by me Atlas Jwest near wedge..... this was a honing failure. Back to the stones with the Atlas. I had my Niles half hollow Jwest ready to go and finished the shave.
