Newly found and restored Black Beauty. Smallish blade at 9/16 but can’t complain for $7.50. Nice and straight with no hone wear and took a really nice edge.

To those partaking in the Rigarazor Regalia... :signs021:

And a little tip of the cap and thank you to Keith @Spyder for introducing me to Flic Cutlery. My model is not quite at the level of his examples, but this was a high quality shave.

    Razor: Flic Cutlery 803 “Favorite”
13/16” somewhat shoulderless, thumbnotched workhorse from Solingen... I like! :)

Maiden shave for this eBay 'special', a pre-1950 Filly 14 Especial. BDBS shave, but I doubt that it was any different from my late 14 DT with the same edge on it. Glad to have it though, it's a nice original razor in great condition with the factory finish and intact gold/etch. The dark areas on the blade are reflections. Soap was I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a Tulip 2 and topped off with D. R. Harris Pink. And I keep wanting to feel my face!

    Cheers, Steve

Tonight's shave was a surprise. I grabbed one, blindly, out of the "Mug Full of Razors", and this one popped up. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, like a hot knife through butter, that left me BBS. Great razor, and well worth their reputation.

    Razor- Otto Deutsche's Hans
Brush- JR #262 Birdseye Maple/Ebony, with WD Silvertip Badger.
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. The Admiral Decanter

Thanks. It was my first straight and I’m still a fan. It never fails to perform.

I liked it so much, I bought another one tonight, for $13. Hopefully it cleans up well.

Yeah, I know I lean towards the bigger is cooler, and cooler is better camp... but... this... razor... is... awesome!
The 5/8” Lotus Elise of the shaving world - powered by only a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine, but having the genius of Colin Chapman “adding lightness” to make it AMAZING. In this case, it comes in the form of a cool razor from a conglomerate out of New Britain, Connecticut.
Am I selling my 14’s??? Heck no. But this razor has earned some high praise in my book!
