No “MK##” markings or Crowns, just a “4R” on the tail and a “CVH” on the blade face. Took a nice edge though .

Had a very close and sooth shave from this Japanese blade ,

Filly 14 Especial - this razor is going for a little cleaning and TLC soon, so I might as well use that edge! Not like it's a chore or anything lol. Soap was SMN lathered with a Simpsons PJ2 and Thayers lavender topped it off. Great shave.

Today's shave was with a Chinese Beauty. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. These Chinese blades are made with some very nice steel, that can hold a fine edge, with the best of them.


Razor- Chinese "ZY" 430+.
Brush- RazoRock 400 and Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. The Admiral Decanter.

It's Stubby Time!! I broke out this old Stub Tail Razor, circa 1816-1830, around. I had a wonderfully smooth and silent 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. For an "Old Razor" this one can hold a good edge.

Brush- RazoRock 400, with a Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger Knot.
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Flying Cloud Decanter

 

I used this beast today, It actually pains me to use another razor... it’s just sooo damn smooth and gets sooo close. The Jnat edge I put on it is just fantastic I can’t get it out of my hands.
