Scott had gotten me thinking about my own French rattler, so here's a Gauthier -Pont St Esprit, re-scaled in Turkish walnut. Cream is AdP lathered with a Rooney 3/2 Heritage 3-band with a 'nuclear' bloom, and Thayers Rose Petal finished up. Wonderful shave from the old French razor.

Thank you sir, I bought this razor at a brocante in Avignon a couple of years ago (for 10€!). The scales were shot so I had the Turkish burl scales made.

Tonight's shave was with a Newly acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Zero issues. Nice shaving little razor.

Razor- "Gold Bug", A.White, Germany.
Brush- Omega Boar
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Osage Rug

I hope to add this to the Swedish razor thread and compare it to the MK32... similar look between those two.

Sunday's Shave
6/8 Aporis Chemical Steel Japan
Had a wonderful smooth and close shave with this Japanese blade.

 

Monday's Shave
7/8 Wade and Butcher Hollow Ground
This is my favorite Wade and Butcher Blade.It is extremely hollow ground.Shave was smooth as silk.Blade was finished on Belgian Couticle.

 

Tuesday's Shave
7/8 Joesph Elliot For Barber Use Dutch Rattler
Shave was effortless with this heavy English Wedge .Edge was very smooth .Finished on a Charnley Forrest hone .

 

I like those English swayback razors, very classy!

Today was the ol' reliable Filly 14, but with a twist - I palm stropped it before the shave. That seemed to actually make the edge a little 'bitey' though it was still just as smooth, so afterwards I stropped with 10 canvas/35 suede/75 cordovan on my Kanoyama. That should re-adjust things. Soap was ABC hard soap lathered with a Simpsons 58 Manchurian, D. R. Harris Pink was followed after drydown with a dab of ABC Apricot Hull balm.
