They do look to be able to be saved without problems. If you can do good on preening the pins good you should be able to save them using the thread that @DaltonGang put the link to. Good luck with them

    C. V. Heljestrand 7/8 Mk 144 in ivory, @BearCWY these scales are Alfredo’s work from several years ago. Cream was a decant of unscented XPEC very lightly scented with a little Provence Bio lavender oil, lathered with a Simpsons 58. A splash of Thayers Lavender topped everything off.

    Cheers, Steve

I'm going to send it off to doc226 to be straightened. I can tighten pens but have never made pens or removed them. I'm afraid that to properly straighten them they need to be taken apart and straightened then re assembled and the scales will need to be polished afterward. It may not be showing in the pic I posted but they are warped in two different directions and have a twist to one of them. To me this is too nice a razor to screw up the scales on, I would rather pay someone that knows what their doing to do it right. Thanks everyone for your advice and support on this razor. I'll report back when it's shave ready and I shave with it.

It is an NOS straight I bought years ago along with some of my other large NOS straights from a collector in Canada. It shaves great, but I often forget about it.

One thing that you can say about the Japanese razors, the makers certainly loved adjectives lol!

The old reliable Filly 14 DT user was up this morning, soap was ABC cream lathered with a Simpsons Milk Churn. A splash of D. R. Harris Pink was followed with ABC almond balm after drydown.

    Cheers, Steve
