What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Atlas a JWest with a 3/4 grind and a sub-par edge. I just honed this but it is just not quite sharp enough for me. Back to the stones.

 

Todays shave was with another Japanese Razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. One small nick, from a small bump I didn't know I had.
Love these Japanese Razors.

Sundays Shave
7/8 Wacker Jungmeister 1/1 Full Hollow Heelless Singing Blade
Had two day of growth and needed to whack the whiskers off .What better than a large heavy Wacker Straight .
Shave was great .Dolphin smooth in no time .Love the quality and beauty of this razor.Herr Wacker is truly an artist .I can not get over how great looking the horn scales are .

Today's shave was with a Japanese Frameback, that I havent used in a couple of years. It was tucked away, and I forgot about it. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. I do love these Japanese Razors.

Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmmm Mmmmmm Good

Great shave, this soap never fails me and this razor is just my ultimate favorite. I can’t stop picking it up. The scent is not the greatest. Smells a lot like your grandfathers old cologne sitting in the middle of a wet football field sitting on top of a full septic tank. My wifey hates it but I absolutely love it... go figure lol definately not something you want to use everyday but performance is excellent. A plus is that my Brad sears seems to be opening up nicely.

Friodur 8/8 full hollow

This is a huge razor and the length is just over 3 inches. I was worried about blade flex but I did not feel any. A very nice shave with this monster.

 

About 15 shaves on the user Filly DT, and still shaving like ‘new’. Maybe I’ll do an edge longevity test - I got 50 shaves out of a Cape 1000 Swedish Steel. Cream was Christian Dior Eau Sauvage lathered with a Simpsons 57, followed by a dab of Dior Eau Sauvage balm and a spritz of the same in EdT.

The Dior cream performs very well indeed and is apparently not available through retail channels in North America. The tube says ‘Made in France’ (in English!) and I was wondering if anyone else new of a comparable cream, a top tier one, made in France as I doubt Dior make it themselves, though they’re certainly big enough of a company to do so.

Today's shave was with a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a Buttery Smooth 2 pass shave, with BDBS results. Zero issues, just smoothness all around.

Razor- Wade & Butcher 7/8th, Sheffield
Brush- JR#262, Birdseye Maple/Ebony, WD Silvertip Knot
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Lighthouse Decanter.

6/8 F. Herder Solingen
Had a super smooth shave with this razor .Great Steel that took a super Keen and Smooth Edge .I bought the girl a new pair of leopard wood shoes .

GD 66, William's soap, Omega 20106 boar, Nivea A/S mentholated. Nice and relaxing.
