What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Just in from Ebay .Gave her a quick cleaning and off to the hones .Used Sharpton Glass up to 16 K .Than finished on a J-Nat .
Shave was smooth as silk .BBS in no time .Love the balance and quality of the steel in this razor .

Beautiful Williams

 

Tonight's shave was with a great shaving Japanese Razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS, with no touch-ups. Zero issues. Just a fine example of a Japanese razor, thick and made of Swedish Silver Steel.

Razor- HINODE Yasuhira. Made Humbly by Taihei.
Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple. WD Silvertip knot.
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. The Admiral Decanter.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 HMW brush. I did two passes with the Weck Sextoblade Med Razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Vintage English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

My 8/8 Wade & Butcher is absolutely one of my favorites in the stable. Maybe THE favorite. Gravitating to larger, heavier razors as I go.
