    Proraso Sandalwood
    Jayaruh #217
    Lee Mfg. 5/8
    CWR
    Aqua Velva

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 brush. I did two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Ye Olde English day this morning, razor is a 7/8 Wosty rattler that’s surprisingly thin for a rattler of that era. Soap as Czech and Speake Oxford and Cambridge, and a splash of Thayers Lavender topped the shave off.

    6/8” Steer & Webster frameback

Sheffield blade from 1860s/70s based on the key mark changing hands in 1882. Not sure if that is the original frame, and there is some hollow grinding on the thin blade (which I can’t remember seeing often on these old framebacks). Heck, there has been 140 years to modify and play with it, so I assume someone did. :)

I can’t say enough good about this one. Took a fantastic edge and holds it forever. A loud, very hollow grind. Actually my favorite shaver.
