I'm glad you got the edge working. The Revisor is a good razor.

    I used today
My Hart 6/8 custom - . I have three Harts and two of them came in what I would describe as somebody didn't care when they made it condition so I sent them back. This one by Terry Vannorman came in perfect condition and has never failed to impress me when shaving with it. I love how the finger offsets make the shave easy but it sure is a pain to strop
MDC soap with Tabac crème and glycerin - wonderful ubelather but the MDC is fine on it's own
    Clubman original
I am as smooth as a BB hart custom.jpg

I could see why this would be the case. I find with observing alternate design approaches to SR scales, its important to consider the range of ways the razor is to be held and used. One design may be perfect for holding a razor in a particular fashion, for example, but problematic if held differently. How the razor feels in the hand while stropping, I believe, is just as important since the user will be doing this action before (and sometimes after) every use. A design that compromises in that department (stropping) does the user a disservice.

As far as I can tell, the spine work is from the factory. I see other models with the same work on the bay every once in a while.

Another fantastic razor from Lindyhopper's secret vault that scratches an itch. Iberia, JOSMON, Palmera; I need one of these to keep my lone Fili company.

    Any will do, I'm not picky...as long as it's a 14 :)

JOSe MONserat pou. What Filis were before they were Filis, mid '20's I think. JMP had a father who was also a razor maker of some renown. His brand name escapes me at the moment, but I'd be pretty OK with one of his as well.

EDIT: Found it. Monserrat (I suppose that makes sense...:p)
