My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #321 brush. I did two passes with the Luxor Pro Master razor with a Derby Premium blade and with the exception of removing a patch of skin, ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol Brisk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Very nice, factory fresh.

Great shave this morning. The Isidro shaving soap is supposed to be an interpretation of Tom Ford's Oud Wood. I don't know how accurate it is but it's very nicely scented, instant fav. Post shave is excellent. Have a good one.

 

I used my F Herder for my 2nd consecutive shave. I got the same results as the first time. A BBS+ shave that was off the charts! Lathered with Stirling Sandpiper and finished with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS.

 

I think I'm going to have to find a "low rent" place to hang around, lol.

Filarmonica 14 Especial, half of a Gen 1 black-and-white pair, the other being a Doble Temple. Cream was the always great SMN, and a splash of Thayers rose followed by SMN balm finished things up. Good way to start Saturday morning!

For those that may have a Puma 18 on their wish list, and are okay with a little less name recognition, this Rader is almost identical. The Puma may be fractionally more hollow but really not noticeable.

Thanks, I am seriously thinking of finding another home for it. It's fine on the face, as for shaving the head , the blade is too thin for my liking.

Tonights shave was with an old 1/4 Hollow English Razor. I had a very silent, and smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. The blade says Hollow Ground, but it is about as close to a Wedge Grind as there is. Excellent razor.

Razor- Sterling Razor Works.
Brush- RazoRock 400. WD High Mountain Badger
Soap- Arko, Stick.
Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

 

Once again the 1941 pre-invasion Russian shows why it’s the standard by which all my other razors are measured. Smooth like a butter knife but as sharp as anything else I own. Da comrades, is glorious!

I understand because I am also sly. I rarely use a straight to shave my head because I get a nice shave with my Rockwell 6C.
