This is a 11/16 Marcella made for Theo Koch's barber supply. Koch's was famous for their barber chairs.

Anyway, I did 60 laps on the Thuringian last night in preparation for the shave this AM. This was followed by horse hide and linen.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #224 Synthetic
    Rocket 5/8
    PSC Caffeinated AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #224 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 straight razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hollow ground 6/8 Case Red Imp 133, cream was SMN bowl lathered with a Simpsons 57 in an Aesop bowl. A splash of Myrsol AB finished off another great shave from American steel.

Thank you. Iffy on what exactly to do near the design. Worked around it the best I could. I love these Medallon Taurino blades.

From the New York exporter, a German made 5/8 SR. I did 50 plus laps on a Timber Tools Thuringian followed by linen and horse hide.

    Novelty Razor
    Pear Brrr Shoppe
Polar Shaving brush (synthetic Frank's Shaving knot)

My wife's Grandfathers razor. Touched it up with a Craftsman Combination Razor Hone that came with the razors. I know this razor hasn't been used for over 50 years and it provided a good close shave with a minor touch up. I suspect this must have been his favorite because it shows more use than the Easy Aces. For some reason there is distortion on the blade in the photo, it's not that messed up.
