For some reason I've always had a thing about Genco/Geneva Cutlery straights, especially Pyramid 7's. I had a nice collection of them at one time. Nice shave this morning, close and smooth. Have a good one.

An ebay acquisition, this Clauss 5R razor (1919-1945?) is not a bad little shaver.

Clauss has good steel and make good shavers.

This morning I shaved with a Dovo something or other. I bought it a year ago. I tried shaving with it a few times with disastrous results. I put it away and said I would put it up for sale someday and put this whole straight thing behind me. A few days ago I came across a Lynn Abrams u-tube. I dug the razor out and completed my first WTG shave. It was not a clean shave by any means. Then again it was achieved with no cuts.scrapes or even a weeper.

Congrats, Barry. It takes time to learn but I think you will find it very rewarding when everything comes together.

It's great when you don't bleed. I still cut myself from time to time...like this morning. Didn't sleep well or enough and lack of concentration...nice jawline slice. Using a straight is addicting.

Old Wester Best #32. Honed and Stropped last night. Sharpened up very nicely. Adequate shave. Min passes.

I love the looks of that one! Apart from slicing jawlines, how does she shave?
