As I am, except I relegated into the basement bathroom, she definitely prefers this hobby over my other hobbies.

Probably going to get one, one day.

Hopefully the convex arkies will enable me to maintain the edge.

    How many razors are enough?
    Just 1 more!

I have not tried an Artist Club type razor yet. One nice thing about the DE type is having a a shorter blade. Easier to watch, IMO.

Ok then my guess is if you didn’t felt difference between the jnat and the other edge is because in fact no difference existe.
I know a professional honed and razor seller and he says honing “is not about stones and steels but about skills and skills”

I find them very different. The ss blades are stiffer and they do cut a lot, an extra pressure and the cut is bloody. The DE are very flexible and thin and do more like paper cuts. I don’t get along with half DE blades shavettes and with the SS shavett I have to be extra concentrated which is not good either. Of course when I use the SS blade in my SE hawk2 then everything is diferente and it’s the closest shave I can get.

Put a magnet up to it. You can't believe everything the Chinese tell you, about their stuff.

The razor is just a pleasure to use in every way, it takes and holds a great edge. The smile makes shaving my neck a breeze. Plus it looks macho and cool. An epic shave today.

Mine thinks I am crazy and have a death wish.... but given what I would do with money if I wasn't spending on shaving gear changed her mind about the hobby.

Did a Daily Double today. Fremont, Ohio made Demascara 5/8 and a 1916 Single Ring Gillette (thin cap) Old Type.

The Chinese razors have a high iron content, and are very reactive to magnets. These Chinese blades will also easily rust if not oiled or kept dry, and out of humid environments. All uncharacteristic of Stainless Steel.

    Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #343 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Dbl Duck 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Ah ok. But your referring to my ZY not to the SS Feather or Kai blades? Right? [IMG]
