    Last night I did 60 x 's on the MMTT Thuringian followed by linen and horse. This has been my standard edge prep for some time. I doubt I will ever need another stone unless I get bored...LOL!! This is a near 90 year old pre merger Geneva Pyramid 7.

    So I would like to thank (or blame depending how you look at it :))
    @Briscoe with the Custom examples,
    @Keithmax with the Kami, &
    @M14Shooter with the Monkey Tail
    For driving me towards this shave.
    Your Robert Williams examples are beautiful! This one fell under the radar and I was able to scoop it up.

    A nice, heavy 8/8 to play with. And it delivered.
    Enjoy your shave.

    Lovely blade Tom .That is how I won mine .The radar must have been down for maintenance .I find that Robert's blade have great edge retention .His blades with their weight just wipe the whiskers away with little effort .Enjoy that work of Art .

    Just wow. I assume that is authentic tortoiseshell since it looks to have liners... and that is beautiful. :eatdrink047:

    Tom,

    Yes Tortoise shell totally original including brass liners and nickel silver wedge spacer, I'm thinking around 1860?

    Manaslu 6/8 M500, soap was Acca Kappa 1869 pre-reformulation lathered with a Keyhole 2. A little ABC Almond balm finished up a nice almond themed shave.

    Jamie, congratulations on being the caretaker of that beauty. I keep going back to that picture to take in another detail. The blade and the scales are classic.

    And then Steve @Steve56 drops a pair of Japanese wonders... it’s a nice day guys!!!

    I've been chasing some one pass shaves lately and this mornings shave is as good as I've gotten. The only difference between yesterday and today is choice of soap and a touch up on a CF stone. Have a good one.
