Today’s delight was a nice mellow Joseph Rodgers 6/8+ swayback English shortie, hollowground. Alfredo did the cocobolo scales finished in cyanoacrylate. I have kind of a weakness for these like I do French framebacks, and a good one is always wonderful to shave with. Soap was MdC rose lathered with a Keyhole 2, and a splash of Harris Pink finished up.

 

Wonderful shave today. Glass smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Great razor, with "Angelian Steel", whatever that is.

Aftershave- Brut.

I am a big fan of JWest razors. Jamie, is there a discernible difference between your Eiko and your Iwasaki? Your other Japanese razors?

Yes indeed it does, it said the same thing to me this morning

Keith, no there's there is little to no difference between the Eiko and the Iwasaki, both are full hollows, the Iwasaki is a 7/8 and the Eiko a 13/16, a few of my other Japanese razors are a quarter hollow like the HoshiTombo 6500 and the 8000, they are both excellent smooth shavers but being a quarter hollow they feel a little different, I personally prefer heavier grinds quarter to half hollow are my favourites.
