My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Morning TOST Shave Soap face lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Henry Taylor 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol Brisk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That is a gorgeous razor. Simple, shiny and exactly my taste.

The only adjective I can think of when I see this razor is...scary...in a beautiful-way...I think.

 

Shell 92 13/16, soap was Martin de Candre lathered with a Simpsons 58, and a splash of Agua Balsamica finished up.

 

Yeah, if I am totally honest, this was a little intimidating. I picked it up 2nd hand in late 2014, and proceeded to nick my strop then nick my face.

Glad I kept it and after I gained some confidence in honing, I got an edge that worked a little better for me.

I am really impressed with the grinding... Brian killed it in my opinion. Here is a shot of the other side:
